Cortexin is a complex of polypeptide fractions derived from the cerebral cortex of cattle and pigs. It is primarily used in Russia and Eastern Europe as an injectable neuroprotective agent for the treatment of stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and cognitive decline.
Status:
Cortexin is the injectable "parent" of Cerluten. While Cortexin is administered intramuscularly (IM) and is often used for acute phases of CNS injury, Cerluten is an oral bioregulator typically used for maintenance and milder cognitive support.
